Historically used for medicinal purposes, they are easily recognizable by a columnar shaped trunk and large, graceful, elephant-ear leaves that turn bright yellow in autumn. and there were absolutely NO instructions included specifically for the Ginkgo Bonsai – most importantly when and how to prune, how large it will get, etc. None of these questions can be found in books either. Currently, it is 28″ tall which I consider rather tall for a bonsai I’ve had for less than 1 month but I don’t know what to expect. The pot is pretty.
