Chinese Elms are great Bonsais trees.  They can be kept indoors or outdoors and, they’re very easy to grow.  They stay semi-evergreen if kept inside, but are deciduous if kept out all year.  Chinese Elms are a great choice for beginners at bonsai because they’re very easy care for and have a predictable growth pattern.  They’re very forgiving when pruned. This trees trunk has a gorgeous swaying shape that supports a full, lush canopy of foliage.  It looks like a Bonsai should: a miniature version of an age-old tree.  A beautiful 12 year old specimen that stands 20 inches tall, this bonsai comes in a classic Bonsai pot with humidity tray included.  It’s a bit difficult to get a sense of the actual size of this Bonsai tree from the picture, but if you look closely you will see that we have placed a pecan on the surface of the gravel as a size reference.
