Product Description
This shimpaku juniper has been trained its whole life to be a bonsai. The training started when it was very young and its small trunk was wired and curved. Since then, pruning/wiring has been done every year and root pruning every 2 to 3 years. This plant is approximately 25 to 30 years old and was styled by a Japanese Bonsai Master. It is ready to go into a nice bonsai pot this spring. Shimpaku junipers like full sun or very strong filtered light. They are OUTDOOR bonsai so they shouldn’t be kept indoors. We like to protect them from below freezing temperatures by using an unheated greenhouse, cold frame, or mulch them in on the ground for the winter. Always watch junipers for spider mites during the summer. LxWxH: 17 x 14 x 30 (including pot) inches…. More >>
