The juniper is indeed one of the most popular bonsais grown in the States, its evergreen features and naturally cascading branches shows the intrinsic beauty of nature. Though many nurseries have claimed to grow and craft the trees; we DO NOT stick a tree into a bonsai pot and call it bonsai. We select only the most full and healthy trees, and shape and nurture them to reach a weathered and mature appearance and style, and then we transfer them to the selected pots that matches the trees. They are a labor of love and a treasure sure to bring you many years of enjoyment; it certainly worth the money you are paying for. Shimpaku Juniper Bonsai Tree I

by The Bonsai Tree Care on Monday, April 5th, 2010

Product Description
Shimpaku Junipers are great outdoor Bonsai trees.  They’re very easy to care for and very popular.  Shimpakus are evergreens with soft foliage that can tolerate virtually any soil or conditions – a great choice for beginners. This trees trunk has a gorgeous swaying shape that supports a full, lush canopy of foliage.  It looks like a Bonsai should: a miniature version of an age-old tree.   A beautiful specimen that stands 16 inches tall and lives in a classic low-profile ceramic Bonsai pot with humidity tray included.  It’s a bit difficult to get a sense of the actual size of this Bonsai tree from the picture, but if you look closely you will see that we have placed a pecan on the surface of the gravel as a size reference. This Bonsai has the classic shape of an age-old tree and, although it grows slowly, and looks great now, it will continue to develop for years to come. Like all joebonsai trees, satisfaction is guaranteed and help is always j… More >>

Shimpaku Juniper Bonsai Tree #807

by The Bonsai Tree Care on Saturday, March 27th, 2010

Product Description
This shimpaku juniper has been trained its whole life to be a bonsai. The training started when it was very young and its small trunk was wired and curved. Since then, pruning/wiring has been done every year and root pruning every 2 to 3 years. This plant is approximately 25 to 30 years old and was styled by a Japanese Bonsai Master. It is ready to go into a nice bonsai pot this spring. Shimpaku junipers like full sun or very strong filtered light. They are OUTDOOR bonsai so they shouldn’t be kept indoors. We like to protect them from below freezing temperatures by using an unheated greenhouse, cold frame, or mulch them in on the ground for the winter. Always watch junipers for spider mites during the summer. LxWxH: 17 x 14 x 30 (including pot) inches…. More >>

Bonsai Tree Juniper | Phoenix

by The Bonsai Tree Care on Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

Product Description
This is a beautiful 9 year old Juniper Bonsai tree. Like all of our Constellation trees, this tree has excellent balance, proportion and realism.  They have depth, definition and look like a million bucks.  They also look great from far away because of their great silhouettes.  This tree stands 9 inches high and has a spread of 13 inches - an excellent value.  It’s a bit difficult to get a sense of the actual size of this Bonsai tree from the picture, but if you look closely you’ll see that we’ve placed an actual pecan on the surface of the gravel as a size reference. Bonsai is a Japanese term meaning “tree in a tray”, and this Bonsai is truly a great example of what a any good Bonsai should look like: a century old real tree in miniature form.  This variety of Juniper (Dwarf Japanese Garden Juniper) has a very cool exfoliating bark, which means the bark sheds as it grows, giving it an aged look.  This Bonsai has the classic shape of an age-ol… More >>
